Growing Our Expertise: Welcoming Matt Macdonald to the Team

At Nexus, our ability to deliver an exceptional client experience for our private clients and non-profit partners is rooted in the calibre of our people. We are proud to continue this stewardship by announcing that Matthew Macdonald has joined the firm as Vice President, Wealth Manager.

Matt’s arrival marks a significant addition to our Wealth Management team. With a career spanning over a decade, Matt has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful, client-centric investment advice and service. His approach mirrors the Nexus philosophy: a commitment to deep, holistic understanding of every client’s unique circumstances, and the drive to deliver seamless, integrated Wealth Planning. His extensive experience in both portfolio oversight and high-touch relationship management makes him an invaluable asset to our clients and our broader team.

Before joining Nexus, Matt spent over 10 years at Burgundy Asset Management and CI Private Wealth. Throughout his career, he has successfully partnered with private clients, foundations, and endowments to develop tailored investment portfolios while helping them achieve their broader financial objectives. Beyond his technical expertise, Matt brings a passion for mentorship and team development, further strengthening the collaborative environment we cultivate here at Nexus.

Matt holds the Chartered Investment Manager® (CIM) designation and is a graduate of Western University.

We invite you to join us in welcoming Matt to the team. We look forward to the contributions he will make as we continue to support our clients in reaching their long-term goals.
