Vice President, Wealth Manager
Jim came to Nexus in 2011 as part of the wealth management team responsible for managing the firm’s private client and non-profit relationships.
As a Vice President, Wealth Manager, Jim focuses on client service and business development. At Nexus, Jim works with a dedicated team which offers tailored wealth planning and investment management directly to private clients, foundations and endowments.
From a summer job working on the floor of the Toronto Stock Exchange, Jim moved on to work 26 years in the brokerage industry in increasingly senior roles, including Institutional Equity Sales at RBC Dominion, and subsequently overseeing the build out of an equity department at Credit Suisse First Boston’s Canadian operation. In 2005, Jim pursued his interests in helping clients achieve their financial goals by moving to the investment management industry, where he was President of another investment management firm. Jim has over 40 years experience, including roles in Equity Research and Corporate Planning.
While at RBC Dominion Securities, he served on the Investment Strategy Committee. Jim has served on a number of volunteer boards, including the Upper Canada College Association, and has served as President of the Rosedale Golf Club.
